It is a funny story about how we started in this business. My husband Bart visited an open-air market one Saturday. When he arrived home, he was rushing around the house and yard looking for things like a water pump and container to hold water. Bart arrived home and said that he had a big surprise for me and a smiled from ear to ear. I forgot to mention Bart is Dutch. He looked through the yard and barns and couldn’t find what he wanted which was a kiddie pool, spade (to dig), and a water pump. When I asked why, after about the 5th time, he replied that he bought a few koi fish.

These past few years have been amazing. Recently I began to import koi fish again which I have not for close to 3 years now. Customers love the quality of koi they see when they visit the farm and when the koi arrive at their new homes. The koi we receive always have amazing colors. At the farm we now have limited stock of domestic koi and have lots of imported in the tanks. At any point customers are able to pick through 3,000 to 5,000 koi in various sizes.
My two grandchildren, Maggie and Conner, help me continuously with my online business. Both of my grandkids get to help differently and in the process learn some great skills. SO far they get to help customers at times, handle shipping, strap boxes with the strapping machine, pick up supplies, and process online orders. They are a blessing for me.
